And yes, omigoodness, this is definitely my favorite final fantasy game.
The characters, the story, the gameplay, the sidequests, the design, the music--- i love it all
DEFINITELY worth your.. what, $12? i pretty sure you could find it on Amazon for around that price

OR!!!
If you have a droid, aparantly you can (legally) download PS1 final fantasies emulators on to it! My friend just downloaded FFVII on his droid and i was watching him play today :'D

But yes. FFIX is magical, and in my opinion, the TRUE final fantasy...

:D I really wanna play it now! The only FF games I own are Dissidia 012 (psp), 4 Heroes of Light, and Ring of Fates(both ds). I borrowed X and X-2 from my friend and loved them <3 And I borrowed 12, but it's so harddd ><

But yeah, I love an RPG with a good storyline and good characters. I just might have to look into this one :D
